Founded in 1925, the Federation of Migros Cooperatives is Switzerland's largest retailer (food/non-food) and private employer. Migros (Hong Kong) Ltd. (Buying-Sourcing Office)
Founded in 1995, Migros (Hong Kong) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. It is responsible for the sourcing of products and suppliers, and acts as an intermediary between Migros' headquarters in Switzerland and suppliers in the Far East. To facilitate its parent company's procurement procedures, Migros (Hong Kong) Ltd supervises order flows and quality control for a whole range of non-food items.
